We hear about this all of our lives but what can assist you in feeling better about body mind and spirit? How to be healthy-looking.

Eat healthy, choose nutritional food that builds your cell health. Good food is regenerating.

Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day. Be sure to include fiber and protein.

Drink to hydrate.  Infuse your filtered water with herbs, fruits and vegetables. It makes water taste so much better and you will want more of it throughout the day. Don’t reach for sweet drinks or high fat coffees.

Get moving. Walk up that flight of stairs or around the block from your parked car. But better yet, set aside 30 minutes outside by yourself to balance and walk with a purpose. This is lovely way  to regenerate yourself during your lunch break.

Be merry. Remember to have positive self talk. Look in the mirror and say “I love ME” You are an amazing gift to all of those around you. Self love is the first step in learning to be happy and share that happiness with others.

Rest! Your body needs rest to be healthy. If you constantly feel tired, it might be your body telling you to re-charge your batteries. Sleep a minimum of 6 hours and enjoy good nutrition.

Commit to your self. This is the first step in changing your attitude.

Spa Water – Recipes

Enjoy a sip of refreshing spa water and stay hydrated inside and out. Your largest body organ – your skin requires hydration. Infusing your water will add vitamins and minerals to your body and produce brighter, younger-looking skin. Add delicious fruits and vegetables to enjoy a more palatable flavor.  Please only use organic fruits and vegetables.

Orange, Lemon, Parsley, Cucumber is a flavor I enjoy during the winter months. The ingredients are easy to obtain and the citrus/green blend is refreshing.

1 bunch of parsley; 2 cucumbers sliced, 2 lemons sliced, 3 oranges squeezed and retain the peels for the water.  Mix in 1 gallon of purified water, infuse for 2-3 hours. Avoid dehydration and enjoy refreshing spa water. Keep in your refrigerator all week and you will be surprised how much easier it will be to consume enough water.

Refreshing Spa Water – Recipes

PRETTY PEAR WATER

5 ASIAN PEARS THINLY SLICED; 1 LEMON (1/2 juiced & 1/2 sliced for water); filtered water and a dash of cinnamon.

Slice the pear and place in a dish. Cut a lemon in half and squeeze half over the pears to keep from browning. Cut the other 1/2 of the lemon into slices. fill your container with filtered water and add the lemon, pear and cinnamon. Refrigerate for a few hours to allow time to infuse the water. Enjoy your refreshing spa water and feel pretty as a pear. #skindeep.com, #health, #nutrition

REFRESHING SPA WATER – RECIPES

PEACH AGUA FRESCA

ingredients:

8 cups of fresh peach slices; 2 tbsp sugar; 2 tbsp fresh lime juice; 1 1/2 C chilled club soda or filtered water; sprigs of basil

This is a drink that is popular in Mexico and Central America that purees fresh fruit with water. Enjoy this peachy delight that is refreshing on the palette. Puree peaches in a blender or food processor.  Add all ingredients and blend light save basil to float in the water. Cover and refrigerate until well chilled. If using club soda wait until right before serving to add. Otherwise, filtered water will blend and hold.

Spa water reminds you of a relaxing day. Sip and enjoy.

Delicious Spa Water Recipes

When visiting the spa, one of the most refreshing moments is when you sit down, relax and enjoy a chilled glass of spa water. Every day someone comments on how delicious and refreshing it is. I will be sharing a few recipes of spa water with you to make and enjoy at home. It is always easier to enjoy your daily water intake when it reminds you of your spa visit.

PINEAPPLE AND MINT

1 quart of filtered drinking water

4 pineapple slices

2 sprigs of mint

Combine ingredients and let it infuse at room temperature for an hour before placing in a

refrigerator. This allows the flavors to meld. I use an infused water container that I found at Target that holds the ice in

the container without diluting the ingredients.

Enjoy and stay hydrated in a refreshing way .  Remember your calming visit to the spa.
