Day 5 Post CO2 Fractional Laser Resurfacing
You can see today the redness has diminished greatly. The LED Red Light treatment makes a big difference post procedure. How am I taking care of my skin now? The itching and peeling are irritating to say the least. I am still using hydrocortisone plus 1% 2-3 times per day, followed by Sanitas Vitaclude post peel balm. Vitaclude’s main ingredients are: castor seed oil, jojoba oil, vitamin E, vitamin A, zinc oxide, vitamin D3, and honeysuckle extract. This is a nice alternative to petroleum based products. You will need to wear your sunscreen because you can be out and about now. I only use IS Clinical Eclipse SPF 50+. IS Clinical Eclipse is a complete UVA/UVB broad spectrum SPF. It is available in beige or brown for darker skin types. IS Clinical SPF has a base of Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide. You need to be applying at least a ping pong ball size amount of SPF to cover the areas on my face, neck and chests. This is the minimum amount of product you should use and you should reapply 1/2 way through your day. If you are going outside you must wear a hat. Itching is the most annoying thing going on now and you may not scratch. I have found tapping eases the desire to scratch. So tap lightly where you feel the itching sensation. I have resumed all my vitamins. 2 weeks prior to the procedure you should not take vitamin E, C or fish oils. These vitamins thin your blood and will increase your chance of bruising.
