Eye wrinkles often appear around the eyes once a person starts to age. Usually, they appear on the age of 40 and above but there are cases wherein they appear earlier in life. Actually, they do not only appear on the eyes, they also appear on the mouth. There are two types of wrinkles that appear on the eyes. You can find them on the side of the eyes and also on the area under your eyes. This skin problem is also called as crow’s feet.

There are a lot of reasons why Crow’s feet occurs. As a matter of fact, you will not even notice them appearing on your skin. This is the reason why prevention is better while you are still young to help deal with the early occurrence of crow’s feet.

The main reason for crow’s feet is the sun. The sun can damage the skin around the eyes especially if you have a habit of sun bathing and tanning. It can greatly affect the occurrence of crow’s feet. It is better to stop sun tanning and try to protect your skin from the sun by using sun block. It does not directly help prevent the occurrence of crow’s feet but it can help prevent sun damage on the skin.

Wearing sun glasses can also be a good preventive measure. However, you must still prevent yourself from tanning even while wearing sun glasses. You will have an uneven skin tone around your eyes. Also, squinting may cause crow’s feet especially if you cannot see well while under the sun.

Crow’s feet are also caused by dehydration of the skin. The skin must be moisturized to help prevent sagging skin and other skin related problems. It is also important to use facial creams with antioxidants and moisturizers.

Another cause of this skin problem is stress. Well, it is already known that stress can make a person look old even when they are still young. It is also responsible in the early occurrence of crow’s feet. It can be caused by lack of sleep or minimal sleep, smoking and alcoholism and a hectic lifestyle. You can also consider some stress relievers to help you lessen the stress on your system.

It is also said that an unhealthy diet also plays an important role in the formation of crow’s feet. If you are often eating on fast foods and processed foods, then you have to lessen your consumption of these foods because they lack in nutrients. Try to add fruits and vegetables on your diet. They have antioxidants that can help neutralize free radicals and help lessen crow’s feet.
